PEI's new stadium

Post by creed » Sun 25 Oct '09 7:38pm

Based upon the dimension of a current park in Charlottetown (whenever I can get the name of it that is), the Islanders new stadium has been updated to have to pleasant breeze of the summer southerly winds blow in while giving those with seats around the infield a view of Ellen's Creek and the PEI picturesque sunsets. Double deck seating extends from the 1st base position behind home plate and around to center field, leaving the area from center to the right field line with no seats at all. A single deck of seats from the 1st baseman to the right field line are offered at half price on weekdays for UPEI and Holland College students for night games.

LF: 375
LF-CF: 387
CF: 400
CF-RF: 325
RF: 250

Capacity: estimated to be thirty thousand. Diamond faces south

winds average at 16kph from the SW. Other weather data can be found here (http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc. ... &autofwd=0)

I'd like to use the new dimensions to build new park factors(no sense having Moncton ones), but I don't have the spreadsheet that I used to do it with. :( I do want to reflect it's windiness. Apparently it's in the 10 ten for the country.

Actually LHB's will love this place. Think Fenway with a Polo Grounds right field porch. Actually if the wind isn't factored in, the LHR rating would be close to 150 or so. TO compare the Bostn Braves field had ratings in the 50's, the polo grounds I think was in the 150/175 or so.

Just noticed that I've still got Monctons stadium. Will this be changed before opening day?

Changes were made a few days ago - not sure why you don't see the new ratings?

NO idea but the new file says we're still at the round table.

No clue why - I'm not sure if stadium info gets included in the league file? Everything in the game has the new numbers.
